In a culture that often values visibility over vulnerability, it’s easy to feel like we’re supposed to share every moment of our faith journey online. Testimonies, prayers, revelations, even our struggles—it all becomes content. But what if some things aren’t meant to be broadcast? What if certain moments with God are meant for a smaller circle—or no circle at all?

Not every woman’s walk with Christ will look the same. And not every season is meant for public view.

For some, faith is loud and communal—a vibrant expression that invites others in. For others, it’s more like a quiet whisper in the early morning, a deeply personal journey marked by silence, solitude, and stillness. Both are valid. But in a world that rewards public display, the quiet path can feel lonely, or even wrong.

The Power of Hidden Seasons:

There are parts of your faith that need time to grow roots before they grow branches. Some seasons are meant to be hidden—not because they are insignificant, but because they are sacred. Think of Mary, the mother of Jesus. After the angel spoke to her, she “treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart” (Luke 2:19). She didn’t rush to explain it. She carried it, quietly.

There’s a holiness in what’s kept closed.

You don’t have to post every answered prayer. You don’t need to share every struggle to prove your authenticity. Sometimes, the most intimate parts of your journey with God are the ones that are just between you and Him. That’s not hiding—that’s intimacy.

Discerning your Circle:

There’s also wisdom in discernment—knowing who to invite into your spiritual life. Maybe it’s a trusted friend, a mentor, a prayer partner. Maybe it’s your journal. You don’t need a crowd to validate your connection with God. Jesus Himself had an inner circle. He spoke to the multitudes, yes, but He also withdrew to pray alone, and He confided in only a few.

A smaller circle can be where the deepest growth happens.

When Privacy becomes Protection:

Sometimes, privacy is protection. Not every person can handle the weight of what God is doing in your life. Sharing too soon, or with the wrong audience, can lead to misunderstanding, criticism, or even spiritual doubt. Guarding your process is not about fear—it’s about preserving your peace.

It’s okay to be misunderstood. It’s okay not to explain yourself. The Holy Spirit will guide you in what to share, and when, and with whom.

Trust the Quiet:

So if you find yourself in a season where your prayers are whispered instead of posted, where your journal holds your deepest confessions, where your revelations aren’t Instagram captions—take heart. You’re not less faithful. You’re not less real. You’re just walking closely.

There is a deep strength in the quiet places of faith. And sometimes, the smallest circles hold the greatest power.

Reflection Questions:

Is there an area of your faith that you’ve felt pressured to make public? What’s one thing you might need to hold more privately right now—for the sake of your spiritual health? Who is in your “smaller circle,” and how can you nurture those safe, sacred relationships?

And sometimes, faithfulness looks like silence, solitude, and sacred privacy.

Ladies, be encouraged you can still Glow and be private about it.

Blessings & Overflow
